Beacon of Hope school in Soroti provides education, room & board, clothing, medical care and counseling to 480 disadvantaged students who would otherwise have no educational opportunities. Most are orphans from the IDP camps, and over 25% are former child soldiers. Help support the dedicated teachers at BOH, who, despite crowded classrooms, few text books, and inadequate teaching materials, are preparing these young adults for success. In 2008, BOH students received the 2nd highest scores on exams out of 100 local schools.
